World-wide pastor training based in Texas

March 2007 Letter

A Word from Charlie

Allow me to take you on a quick tour of GraceLife’s ministry in 2016 and 2017. Here’s a summary along with other news--there will be things of interest to you. I’ve got so much to say that I’m just numbering everything below for your convenience. But I, with Karen, want to be sure to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

  1. We trained pastors, workers, and students in Myanmar, Philippines, India, Trinidad and Tobago, and Ghana. These hundreds of trained church leaders will reach many thousands with a clear gospel message.
  2. I spoke in churches and conferences in the USA (TX, FL, TN, VA, NC, OR, OK, NE, IN).
  3. In 2017 we will train and teach in Myanmar, Philippines, India, Peru, Ghana, and Burundi.

  4. GraceLife is hosting a study tour to Israel March 25-April 5. There is still time to join us! See all the details at http://www.gracelife.org/missions/.
  5. Do your Christmas shopping at Smile.Amazon.com and GraceLife receives 1/2% of your purchases. This link will take you right to the site that benefits GraceLife: Amazon Smile.
  6. Your donations help us reach more people. You can give an end-of-year tax-deductible gift directly to GraceLife at https://app.easytithe.com/g3/ or scan this QRC box:
  7. GraceLife has created a scholarship fund to help ministry students overseas and in the USA. It recently paid for a full year of seminary training for a pastor in Ghana, and helped Burmese students studying in the Philippines. Using the same link or QRC just mentioned, just make a General Donation designated “for scholarships.”
  8. I’ve written a chapter on full assurance of salvation in a new book, Free Grace Theology: 5 Ways It Magnifies the Gospel. The book is a clear and concise response to Wayne Grudem’s book that criticizes the Free Grace view. You can order it from Bold Grace at http://boldgrace.org/books/free-grace-theology-5-ways-it-magnifies-the-gospel.html

  9. I’ve also written a separate response and review of Wayne Grudem’s book, Free Grace Theology: 5 Ways It Diminishes the Gospel. You don’t want to read his book without reading my review along with it. See it at http://www.gracelife.org/resources/bookreviews/
  10. Todd Mathis is an excellent Bible teacher who has taught in our GraceLife Institute. He has a helpful resource on the life and ministry of Jesus. You’ll find an unbeatable offer of my book Grace, Salvation, and Discipleship and more if you simply sign up for his weekly email lesson. Just contact him at Todd@asjesuswalked.com or go to http://asjesuswalked.com
  11. I love the outdoors and love sharing my stories and insights with others, so I have developed several presentations based on my experiences in the wild. I call them Hunting for Life, Fishing for Life, How to Catch Fish, and The Devils Dare. It’s a fun ministry designed to reach and teach men in an interesting and non-threatening way. If these messages can serve a need, let me know: Charlie@GraceLife.org.
  12. Coming soon—our Winter GraceLife Newsletter with a new GraceNotes on The Doctrine of Justification. These are mailed for free on a quarterly basis. You can sign up here http://www.gracelife.org/newsletter/
  13. Last but not least, you can always count on GraceLife for sound biblical, grace-oriented resources to help you in ministry. Check out our resources at https://squareup.com/market/gracelife-ministries or scan this box:

I call it -my paycheck" Whenever I teach pastors and church leaders overseas GraceLife usually pays for the training, housing, meals and supplies. So at the end of our training. ] often ask for a short testimony about how the training helped them. I tell them it is -my paycheck." it is also your reward for praying and giving towards their training. Here's our -paycheck" from a couple pastors in Trinidad and Tobago in June. Your Illustration on of A Truth and B Truth has been very informative to me in that I dearly understand salvation and discipleship. Thank you very much." – A.D.  I was truly blessed by the principle of the Truth/B Truth teaching. It offered me a completely new perspective on the application of scripture... The study of grace was in my mind "explosive-- several new and valuable truths were learned for which I honestly had no prior knowledge "-Matthew

In July, we not only got a paycheck from our trip to Ghana, we also got a 'bonus check.” That bonus was the testimony of the changed lives on our mission team. Every one of them saw Cod provide their financial support and empower them to boldly share the gospel and their testimonies everywhere we went. The team shared with over 1500 people and saw numerous professions of faith in Christ Our daughter. Laurie, who was in Ghana for the first time, said, I wanted to go to Ghana in hopes that Ii may change lives, and although I don't-doubt that happened I also know my life has been changed forever.

It looks like we made a difference on both sides of the world! Thanks for your prayers and support -- your final "paycheck" is waiting for you in heaven!

Until all hear.
